Window Stone WS60 Standing Stone has our largest 600mm diameter hole that will frame a favourite view or area of the garden. Crafted from Purbeck Stone, this piece has a quiet subtle beauty that would be perfect in an area for mindfulness such as a Zen or Japanese themed garden design. Hand picked direct from the quarry in Dorset. Natural, rustic edges contrast beautifully with the clean machine finish of the drilled hole. Measuring just over 1 metre high x 1 metre wide and approximately 250mm thick. Weighs in at an estimated 400kg. Gallery images highlight some of the key characteristics and a grainy wavey edge. The rear of the stone has a clean, natural finish with the front looking very similar with a weathered feel to it. A clean finish makes this Window Stone WS60 Standing Stone perfect for carving or as a memorial stone. Also referred to as playground boulders for small children to climb through, aswell as stone hololiths. A smaller alternative in slate is Window Stone WS46 Water Feature. A newly developed technique also allows us to engrave the inside of the circle. Bespoke work would be an additional charge. Can also be converted into a working water feature at additional cost. This would include core drilling a small hole for the water to flow through into the cored out hole. Optionally add a Large Reservoir Pack which includes reservoir, pump, hose and clips to fully operate this as a water feature. We can also core drill holes in the base to then insert pins for fixing to the ground and making this stone nice and secure. Again, this will be additional work and incur an extra cost.
