More Info
Purbeck Stone Bench PSB10 was hand selected from the quarry in Dorset, UK and drilled back at the workshop in Southampton. Initially selected to function as a large bench but, it was then core drilled with a hole on one side to incorporate an additional function as a planter. Measuring 1.4metres long and 700mm wide with a 250mm diameter hole and could be planted with shrubs, grasses or even a taller multi stem tree. This would look absolutely perfect along with a further two or three purbeck boulders, providing a very informal seating area to enjoy your garden from. This has only just been photographed after waiting for some sunshine to appear. Gallery images try to highlight the contrasting tones. The green leaves pop when placed against the lighter rock. The very first stone bench and integrated planter we have completed in the workshop. If you like this Purbeck Stone Bench PSB10 but don’t require it to be drilled then please consider Purbeck Stone Bench PSB8 or Stone Boulder SB52. If you have a deisgn in mind and would like to discuss a project, please Contact us with any queries. We have a number of large Purbeck Stone Boulders in the yard ready to go. Smaller 10/20mm aggregate has been used around the base of the stone boulder and we can supply small 20kg bags of this if required.
Examples of Purbeck Stone used to great effect is Chris Bearshaws award winning RHS Chelse Flower Show Garden in 2022 with the RNLI Garden. This was used extensively for the winding path running through the design.
