Bodnant Gardens
With over 80 acres to explore Bodnant Gardens is one of the jewels in the crown for North Wales. This breathtaking setting against the backdrop of the mighty Carneddau mountains has been curated by generations of the same family for over 150 years. Bodnant welcomes thousands of annual visitors and has been in the care of the National Trust since it was gifted to the organisation in 1949.
The main house at Bodnant Gardens is a Grade I listed building, surrounded by beautifully manicured formal gardens that include flower beds full of colour, water features and an Italian style pond and terraces. Moving past the formal gardens takes one through invigoratingly fresh wildflower meadows and into a carefully planted woodland paradise.
We enjoyed a team wander around the gardens on a glorious June afternoon with the sun shining. It’s a truly wonderful location and a must-see for any tourists making plans to visit the very best North Wales has to offer.
